Not all recipes are "website worthy" but this list has made the cut:
Steve Marinne's Underappreciated Pico de Gallo
- 4 vine-ripened tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 medium red onion, chopped
- 2 scallions, white and green parts, sliced
- 1 Serrano chile, minced
- 1 handful fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Maehr Burger Recipe
- 2 ground beef patties - seasoned with Lawry's
- In between: Onion slice, tomato slice, slice of cheddar cheese
- Wrap with 3 strips of bacon
- Secure with toothpick
- Cook on grill. Be patient.
- Serve without bun. Suggested side: Tater Tots.
Louis' Flank Steak
- Score flank steak (approx. 1 1/2 lbs.) on both sides about 1/8 inch deep forming a diamond pattern.
- 24-Hour Marination: 1/3 cup V-8, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup safflower oil, 1/3 cup dark brown sugar, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tbl. spoon chili powder, and 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin. Cover and refrigerate.
- Put the meat on the grill. [If you want to use the marination for a sauce, boil it first.]
- Cook about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Cut on the diagonal across the grain.
- Serve with sauce on the side.
Mr. Scott's Fourth Option Ribs
(1st Place - 2005 Ribs Cook-Off)- As always, select a choice cut of babyback ribs. There should be some top fat, and at least a "finger" of meat between bones.
- Dry rub with a mixture of Lawry's, Joe's Hot Stuff, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub thoroughly front and back.
- Place ribs bone side down on a sturdy cookie tray with about a 1/2 inch side. Pour a 1/4 inch of water in the tray. Smother ribs with Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory barbeque sauce.
- Important! Wrap the entire cookie tray (top and bottom) with at least 5 wraps of Saran wrap.
- Important! Place the tray in a cold oven. Set oven to 225 degrees.
- Let the ribs ride while you entertain yourself for approximately 2 hours.

- Ball game, Painted Long Neck Rolling Rocks, Delta Blues.
- Darts, Dirty Martinis, Jazz
- Serve ribs with boiled new redskin potatoes and collard greens.
